David Batchelor

 

The stained glass maker

David Batchelor is the founder and creative director of Divine Art & Craft Ltd and has over twenty years experience of producing traditional and modern art glass.

He graduated from the prestigious architectural stained glass course at Swansea and, after studying for six years, continued to develop drawing and painting skills, undertaking a number of commercial artwork projects.
He then ran a stained glass studio for a company making Victorian and Edwardian windows. After a couple of years David felt the time had come to expand his skills as his growing passion for wildlife illustration and glass painting increased.
In 1998 he established Divine Art with the main goal of adding colour into every home. This aim still guides his work today.
By creating decorative glass tiles and splashbacks in 2000, David was able to create a wider range of designed art glass products. 2008 saw the introduction of the next level in glass tiles and glass jewellery, which are beautiful and functional. By increasing its product ranges and services, Divine Art is becoming more accessible to a greater number of people.
