Every day from 30th July to 7th August, enjoy the sounds of organs playing from the BOGA. Formed in 1992, the British Organ Grinders’ Association is for all who have an interest in hand-turned street organs. Originally all organ-owning members had purchased their organs from professional manufacturers but in recent years the trend has been towards members building their own organs based on plans developed by life-member John Smith, with over half the membership having built their own. Some of these will be playing during the day. Feel free to ask questions of any grinder who will be only too pleased to explain the workings of their organ.
