Sunday 6th - Mums Can Do - Free entry for all Mums when accompanied by a child
Friday 11th, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th - Sussex Spring Ale Showcase
A brand new beer festival featuring a select range of Sussex ales and ciders, running on Friday and Saturday evenings (pre-booked tickets advised) and Saturday and Sunday day times (normal Museum entry)
Sunday 20th - Wheelwrights Day
Discover this fascinating craft: come and try your hand at some of the skills of the wheelwright. Use a spoke shave, mark out and hand cut a mortise, learn about traditional ways of cutting wood. Taster sessions available on a first come first served basis.

Friday 25th (Good Friday), Sunday 27th (Easter Sunday), - Easter Trails
Answer the clues and follow the Easter Bunny trail. Can you win a prize?

Monday 28th (Easter Monday) - Easter Trails and Museum Working Day
See the Museum come alive with a working wood yard and many crafts to discover and watch in action.

Wednesday 30th  - Spring Crafts Activity Day, with Hawking About owl displays

A wonderful display of cars from the vintage era.

Wednesday 6th - Spring Crafts Activity Day

Saturday 16th - Brownies Day, for pre-booked Brownie Packs, with Hawking About owl displays
A chance for pre-booked Brownie Packs to gain the Out and About Badge with themed activities.

Sunday 17th - Spring Industrial Trains and Commercial Vehicles
The first opportunity this year to see narrow gauge petrol, diesel, electric and steam locomotives in glorious motion, alongside a variety of heritage commercial vehicles.

Saturday 23rd - St George's Day -   
Special offer for St George’s Day for members of Cubs, Brownies, Scouts, Guides, Girls Brigade and Boys Brigade who arrive in uniform will receive free entry to the Museum when accompanied by a full paying adult.

Sunday 24th - Amberley Spring Bus Gathering
Buses galore at this early season meet, for families and enthusiasts alike.


Sunday 1st - Motorcycle Show
Beautifully maintained motorcycles will cruise their way into the Museum to showcase their history and style. A real treat for all bike fans.

Monday 2nd - Bank Holiday - Museum Working Day with Hawking About
See the Museum come alive with a working woodyard and many crafts to discover and watch in action, as well as a visit from Hawking About.

Sunday 8th - Spring Mechanicals Day
A collection of stationary engines, tractors and associated machinery to watch and enjoy.

Saturday 14th - Austin Healey Car Club Visit 
The Museum welcomes this visiting car club

As part of the annual Healey Drivers Club International meeting, over 70 Healeys and Austin Healeys come together on the Museum village green to celebrate the 65th Anniversary of Donald Healey’s 200mph speed run at Bonneville, USA in August 1956.

Saturday 28th, Sunday 29th and Monday 30th - Traditional Crafts Event
Resident and visiting craftspeople demonstrate their age old techniques. Come and pick up a crafty bargain.

Monday 30th - Bank Holiday - Museum Working Day with Hawking About 

Tuesday 31st May - ​Toddler Tuesday
All about colour. Come and play, sing and join in on our rainbow day. A morning of activities for under 5s. All accompanying adults get a free hot drink in the Limeburners Cafe.

Sunday 5th - London to Brighton Kit Car Run - Stopover at Amberley Museum
The Museum welcomes kit cars in their stopover during the run.
Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th - Printing & Machine Shop Event
Our annual celebration of all things print, when you can discover the history behind some of the most fascinating machines in the Museum's collection, and try your hand at printing.

Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th - Local Villages Weekend with Hawking About

Showcasing the Museum for local people, with crafts and entertainment and children's craft activities. Those living locally* all visit at the child price of £6.60 for this weekend.

A community event for local villagers to visit their Museum and see whats new. Locals are welcome to pre-book stalls: show us your craft, tempt us with your shop, demonstrate your trade.
Everyone is welcome and those living locally within postcodes
*PO22, RH20, BN11, BN12, BN13, BN14, BN15, BN16, BN17 BN18, BN44 
will gain entry to visit the Museum at our child rate of £6.00 OR £6.60 with GiftAid (a saving of £4.35 on our Adult price!)

 Proof of residence will require to be presented at the Shop when purchasing tickets to take advantage of this offer.​​​

Sunday 19th - Dads Can Do - Free entry for all Dads when accompanied by a child
Hands on activities and experiences for Dads. All Dads get free entry when accompanied by a child (of any age!).

Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th - Fire and Emergency Services Weekend
Come and see the fire engines from the Museum's own collection and a range of visiting exhibits. All emergency services are welcome to demonstrate their vehicles at this spectacular event (exhibitors must book in advance).


Saturday 2nd - Beavers Day, for pre-booked Beaver packs. Hawking About will also be here
A special day for pre-booked Beaver groups, with many activities open to the public too.

Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th - Railway Gala Weekend
Come and see steam, diesel, petrol and electric powered locos and ride on the trains. The standard gauge line and our Road Machines contractors' monorail will also be demonstrated.

Saturday 16th - 'Organ Grind' - from the Association of Musical Box Collectors
The Museum welcomes a display of working musical boxes from the AMBC.

Sunday 24th - Classic Car Summer Show​
Come and see a wonderful selection of cars dating from 1955 to 1991. Some owners dress in period fashion which adds to the atmosphere. One of our top events in the season, not to be missed.

Saturday 30th - Sunday 7th August-  British Organ Grinders Association here every day
Every day from 30th July to 7th August, enjoy the sounds of organs playing from the BOGA.

Exciting activities for accompanied children and another chance to watch the Hawking About birds flying.

A chance to see our petrol locos including the World War I 'Protected' Simplex, the War Department Wickham set and our Y-type Planet from a north country sewage works.

Friday 2nd -- Sunday 4th - Ale at Amberley
Join us for the 11th Ale at Amberley. Local and national beers, ciders and perries, something for all tastes. Sessions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons (normal Museum entry) and Friday and Saturday evenings (advance tickets).

Sunday 11th - Historic Cycles Day
See all sorts of bicycles from 1800 to the present. The day includes a ride around the Museum and riders are encouraged to wear period dress (if you want to join the ride, you must book in advance as numbers are limited).

Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th - Miniature Steam Weekend
Building on the success of last year's come back event, a steam show not to be missed.

Sunday 25th - Amberley Autumn Bus Show and Running Day
Our ever popular bus rally returns for another year with static displays and many rides around the site on vehicles old and new, for enthusiasts and families too.


Sunday 2nd - Classic Landrover's Day
A brand new event for the Museum when we welcome classic Landrovers to the site for visitors to enjoy. Exhibitors must book in advance.

Sunday 9th - Autumn Historic Transport Gathering
A new name but an old favourite event: our end of season grand gathering of all sorts of vehicles and the last chance in the year to enjoy industrial trains running on the railway line.

Saturday 15th - Communications Day with Jamboree On The Air (JOTA for pre-booked Scout packs)
Discover life before the computer. How did we communicate? Find out at this fascinating event for all ages. We are also running JOTA for pre-booked Scout groups.

Saturday 29th- Halloween Activities & Evening Trail
Halloween themed activities suitable for all ages. In the evening (pre-booked tickets required) be spooked with a ride on the ghost train
