Hands On Half Term at Amberley Museum

Amberley Museum and Heritage Centre will be open throughout half term week. On Wednesday, Amberley will be hosting its Move It event day which features experiments, rides, crafts and other interactive activities to demonstrate the wonders of our world in motion.

Amberley Museum Visits St Mary’s CE First School, Washington In Foden Steam Wagon
The children of St Mary’s CE First School in Washington, West Sussex were treated to a visit from Amberley Museum and Heritage Centre in a 1928 Foden Steam Wagon to see first hand how steam power works.

Victorian Day and Fairground at Night a huge, historical success!
On Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th August, Amberley Museum held its very first Victorian Weekend, which included a working fairground that stayed open until 9.30pm on Saturday evening for local residents and visitors to enjoy. With visitor numbers exceeding anticipations, the event beautifully showcased the Victorian era through demonstrating how its machinery, vehicles and entertainment have both influenced and enhanced our modern and modest lifestyles today.
