The Cycle Exhibition traces the history of this ubiquitous machine
Located in the Paviors' building, this exhibition traces the history of this ubiquitous machine from its ancestor, the hobbyhorse of 1817, through to the Itera plastic bicycle of the 1980s.

Bicycles, Tricycles & more!

It includes a boneshaker of the 1860s, the first pedal-driven bicycle, a lofty ordinary or penny-farthing of the 1870s, and an early example of a Moulton bicycle of the 1950s.

Another exhibit at Amberley Working Museum relating to cycles is the Cycle Repair Shop (part of the Village Garage), which can be viewed online via the menu to the left of this page.
