The Paviors' Museum of Roads & Roadmaking, tells the story of road making.
It tells the story of read construction from the earliest times up to the present day through the use of a wide range of impressive exhibits.


From Roman Roads on...


The collection includes a "Phoenix" rapid boiler, the steam roller "Joan" (which worked for West Sussex County Council until the 1970s), a 1940 Barber-Greene road finisher, a 1951 SGME vibrofinisher and a 1982 Leyland Bison transit mixer. There are also a number of display and hands-on activities.

The building itself is a prefabricated building dating from 1842, which was initially built in London and later moved to Horsham before residing at Amberley.
