The West Sussex Woodturners have their own striking display at Amberley.
They strive to provide visitors with the possibility of seeing a range of traditional wood-working tools and skills in active use, an ideology central to the Museum's work ethic.

Traditional woodworking

Their workshop houses a range of historic woodturning lathes, associated tools and equipment, together with such machines as a heavy duty Victorian bandsaw and a more modern electrically-driven woodturning lathe. Nearby is a rustic pole lathe which is demonstrated to visitors from time to time.
