The Museum has acheived successful funding in a number of important areas.
During the past three years the following fundraising objectives have been achieved through Lottery funding, grants from Trusts, Foundations, Businesses, Museum appeals and donations from the Friends of the Museum. Listed below are some of the key contributors towards each project.

De Witt Lime Kilns ( Scheduled Ancient Monument No.449 )
English Heritage grant (for emergency repairs)

Following the successful completion of the emergency repairs to the structure, a feasibility study has been carried out to determine the major repairs needed to the kilns in order for them to be fully presented to the public to demonstrate the history and practical working of the lime industry at Amberley. An application for the full repair and interpretation of the kilns has now been submitted to the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Both English Heritage and Heritage Lottery Fund grants are subject to partnership funding which has to be raised by the Museum.


The Museum Appeal for the New Restaurant & Conference Centre

Raised substantial funds from donations by Friends of the Museum, private individuals, Museum Volunteers and in-kind support from building materials suppliers.

Hove Ticket Office
Support from Southern Railway and the Railway Heritage Trust for the relocation and restoration of the Hove Ticket Office building.
