Explore how people began to communicate across vast distances and the systems that have helped shape today’s globalised world.

In the Connected Earth building, children experiment with semaphore flags, learn about the contribution of Alexander Graham Bell and his early telephone and write and send telegrams using our pneumatic tube system.
