Steam Show

On the 1st and 2nd of July 2023, the Steam Show is coming back to Amberley with some returning and some different steam engines in attendance including one traveling from Gloucester!
At least 10 full size engines are attending as well as a smattering of miniature steam to help our younger visitors understand how steam engines work and being able to see the workings in a pocket size package.
Also returning to service at the Museum is the West Sussex County Councils 1926 Marshall Steam Roller, Joan. The roller is a resident engine of the Museum and has been under going works for several years and has been returned to steam in the latter part of 2022 and early 2023 by our steam group volunteers.
The steam show promises to be a fantastic event with steam engine trailer rides, wood sawing demonstrations being carried out throughout the weekend and steam engines of all shapes and sizes moving around site. There will also be a bus service running as well as a steam service on the Museum railway.
Why not come and take in the sights and smells of working steam engines as the Museum transforms into a world of steam, smiles and whistles.

Why Pre-book Tickets?
Our car park can reach full capacity on event days, so we ask everyone to pre-book their admission ticket to help us manage numbers in the car park.
Members and volunteers can pre-book complimentary tickets at no charge through the same booking system.
If there are no tickets available for your chosen day, the event is fully booked so we recommend not making a special journey as we cannot guarantee that you will be able to visit.
Extra Information
The Limeburners Cafe will be open for lunches and snacks, ice creams and hot drinks are also available. There are also outdoor picnic areas.
Well behaved dogs on short leads are welcome.
