Road Steam
The Road Steam Collection comprises three steam road rollers: a 1925 Marshall “Joan”, a 1936 Wallis & Steevens Advance and a 1928 Aveling & Porter tandem type. With their driver’s living vans these rollers form an integral part of the Roads & Roadmaking Museum. They illustrate the different purposes and designs of rollers in roadmaking.
