Filming & Site Hire
Amberley Museum is a unique Location, spanning 36 acres, with over 40 exhibits, and an extensive heritage archive.
Set within the South downs, these Sussex chalk hills were once the home for lime mining in the area and within our museum grounds you will find an abundance of Historic buildings and locations that would lend themselves to backdrops for film set locations.
We have various areas of the museum where you will find clusters of buildings, and a few that stand alone.
At the heart of our site sits the majestic de Witt lime Kilns, approachable from three levels providing vantage points and excellent angles for lighting and photography.
Towards the bottom of our site is our Quarry tunnel, also known as the Main Strike Mine, which was used as a location in the James Bond film, A View to Kill.
Amberley has featured as a backdrop to classic Car magazines, and a motorcycle calendar, plus a number of television programs, and smaller film projects currently in post production.
Why not Host your corporate function, team building or next business meeting within the grounds of our museum
Set within the South downs, we can offer a variety of hire spaces from meeting rooms to the entire site and can cater for small or large groups.
