Learn about communications from the start of the printing press to the modern day!
Visit the Connected Earth exhibition to find out how fibre optic cables are connected, how telex worked, all about semaphore signalling and about sending telegrams.
Admire the display of Post Office and other telecoms vehicles and watch the afternoon parade!
Visit the vintage BBC broadcasting van outside the cafe and find out how outside broadcasting worked from the van that was at the coronation of Elizabeth II and Churchill’s funeral.
Talk to members of the Radio Society of Great Britain about amateur radio and visit the museum’s own radio station. See if you recognise the televisions from your childhood!
Visit the Print Shop to see the old printing presses and print your own keepsake!

Extra Information
Amberley Museum is located in the heart of the South Downs National Park. Often referred to as multiple museums in one, the Museum has over 20 exhibition areas.
The Limeburners Cafe will be open for lunches and snacks, ice creams and hot drinks are also available. There are also outdoor picnic areas.
Well behaved dogs on short leads are welcome.
