Discovery Day – Chalk, Flint & Arun Valley Prehistory

Discover how the chalk of the South Downs National Park was formed, how flint within it was exploited to make tools and how the people of early prehistory lived in the Arun Valley and beyond.
Discovery Days provide an opportunity to discover another side to the museum as part of an afternoon tour and hands-on experience led by our team.
This tour will take in part of our Nature Trail. Please let us know in advance if you have any specific access requirements by contacting the Office (office@amberleymuseum.co.uk).
Tickets are £5 per person on top of usual admission charges and should be booked in advance. Maximum of 20 places available.

Extra Information
Amberley Museum is located in the heart of the South Downs National Park. Often referred to as multiple museums in one, the Museum has over 20 exhibition areas.
The Limeburners Cafe will be open for lunches and snacks, ice creams and hot drinks are also available. There are also outdoor picnic areas.
Well behaved dogs on short leads are welcome.
