Home Front Weekend

17-18 May 2025

Rewind to the 1940s for this exciting weekend of nostalgia and reenactment!

Join us as the Museum is recreated as a WW2 encampment, showcasing vehicles, uniforms and equipment from the Home Front. With the Americans taking over the field to display maintenance, enjoy a huge range of restored and original items! Get up close with the Home Guard and find out about their role.

Explore how equipment and ideas changed in the immediate post-war years with displays.

Come along in your 1940s-style fashions and take a ride on our steam locomotive ‘Peter’ and our 1930s bus.

Please pre-book tickets to avoid disappointment.
