Family Half Term Activities: ‘No Mow May’
Did you know, delaying cutting your grass is an easy way of helping nature to thrive in your garden? This Half Term week, we’re celebrating ‘No Mow May’, which is a campaign to help you do just that.
– Find out about Springtime butterflies and their favourite nectar plants with our family trail – you’ll find many on our peaceful Nature Trails and other sunny spots around the museum.
– On Wednesday 29 May, see live moth specimens humanely collected at the museum overnight by Sussex Moth Group (11am-3pm).
– On Thursday 30 & Friday 31 May, make tissue paper flowers in our Learning Space (11am-3pm).
Half-Term Pottery Fun!
Visit the Pottery for nature inspired fun featuring slugs and snails! A small participation fee of £2.50 applies.
NEW! Quiet Day – Friday 31 May
Friday 31 May will be a Quiet Day, with sound kept to a minimum around the museum site. There will be no high-voltage demonstrations and audiovisuals will be turned off. Dogs will not be allowed inside the café on this day.

Museum General Admission.
Train and bus rides are included for no extra cost.
Extra Information
The Limeburners Cafe will be open for lunches and snacks, ice creams and hot drinks are also available. There are also outdoor picnic areas.
Well behaved dogs on short leads are welcome.
