WORSHIPFUL COMPANY OF PLUMBERS

The Worshipful Company of Plumbers is one of the City of London Livery companies and dates from 1365. The company has a display in the Gin Building dedicated to traditional plumbing methods. 

You’ll find a number of exhibits of ceremonial lead work, as well as displays of the plumber’s craft, which was, of course, crucial to transport water for power and for sanitation, as well as removing effluent and industrial waste.  

The plumbers often demonstrate their craft in the Gin Building.
